I went to the store for blueberries and somehow came back with an iron bench and little patio table. So this is my first ever outdoor blog post. And I have discovered a few things from sitting out in “nature.”
1. The girl who lives next door wants her significant other to buy her a house. He is not so excited about this. Not even about the thought or brand new granite countertops. Or that there is a cubby hole on the side of the fireplace (I don’t know what you would use that for, probably wood, although what came to my mind was roasting a baby) He keeps cracking his knuckles and she keeps saying “C’mon baby.”
2. So many people in my apartment complex sell drugs in their cars.
3. The evil squirrel is not thrilled by my presence. (Some background. The evil squirrel frightens Kitty. Granted a dead lady bug in his water also frightened Kitty, but the squirrel chased him from my porch into in the closet. Where he Siamese wailed for about an hour.) Well if I had a better camera (working on that) I could have captured the death look the squirrel gave me. He made what I think was some kind of squirrel attack sound and poofed back and forth a bit. He is still looking at me from the gutter and kitty is crying.
4. There is a beautiful red breasted bird (robin?) that sings in the tree. Kitty is so excited when she sings. Or I guess it could be a he….But the bird flew too close and kitty ran away. Kitty really needs to man up a little.
5. And finally, there were butterflies that started mating in my doorway. I was like huh, look at them go. I was hoping that was a sign for good luck or something. But instead I found all these creepy galleries of people fascinated by butterflies mating? Like this one

I also learned that people are worried about butterfly morality. I could not paste from this cite so I decided just to type it out.
Q: Do Butterflies Mate for Life?
A: I’m not sure, but I get the impression that they don’t. I’ve observed more than one Zebra LongWing mating with a female chysalis at the same time, and I never see butterflies keeping company in pairs (except while they are actually mating) so I think they go their seperate ways.

SLUTTY, PAEGAN BUTTERFLIES!!!
There is also a site called obbsession with butterflies, where you can help them.

So I guess butterflies doing it in my doorway had no symbolism. But it did teach me a valuable lesson, and that lesson is people are creepy. And obsessed with butterfly sex.

I do not think butterflies live long enough to mate for life..I believe they only get one shot at it!
Poor butterflies. I guess if they only get one time then they’d never know if it was bad!
um, the mating butterflies gallery was um, well, um….
I <3 your blog!
granted taking pics of butterfly sex is kind of strange but you must admit they do look much better than most humans caught in the act.
Hahaha, agreed.
